Angela Bennink

Bio:

Angela Bennink is the General Manager of Kitsap Public Utility District (PUD) in Washington State, where she leads efforts to expand critical infrastructure in water, sewer, and telecommunications. With a strong foundation in chemistry, biology, and engineering, Angela brings a unique, systems-based perspective to the challenges of broadband deployment. Before joining Kitsap PUD, she spent over a decade with the Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet), advancing open-access broadband across Washington. At Kitsap PUD, her mission is to close the digital divide by extending high-speed broadband to unserved and underserved communities in Kitsap County. Angela is also a founding member and current chair of the American Association for Public Broadband (AAPB), a national organization advocating for the rights of public entities to build and operate broadband networks. She is a vocal proponent of community-driven solutions and continues to challenge misinformation about public broadband with data, experience, and a deep commitment to equitable access.
