Bob Faber, RCDD, NTS, is a highly experienced ICT design leader and subject matter expert in telecommunications infrastructure, representing Ehvert Mission Critical, a firm specializing in the design, construction, and delivery of complex mission‑critical facilities, including data centers.
With nearly 45 years of industry experience, Faber has built a distinguished career spanning engineering design firms, systems integrators, structured cabling contractors, and ICT product manufacturers. His expertise includes structured cabling systems, ICT infrastructure design, and the integration of telecommunications systems within mission‑critical environments. Over the course of his career, he has also developed and delivered structured cabling training programs and contributed extensively to professional development within the industry. Faber is widely recognized for his leadership in industry standards development organizations, serving as a subject matter expert and contributing author. He is the current Vice-Chair of TIAs TR-42.5 subcommittee and editor of TIA TSB-162-B Telecommunications Cabling Guidelines for Wireless Access Points as well as TIA TSB-5018 Structured Cabling Infrastructure Guidelines to Support Distributed Antenna Systems. Faber is a Past Chair of the BICSI Standards Committee and Past Vice-Chair of the BICSI Technical Information and Methods (TI&M) Committee, where he has played a key role in shaping best practices that guide global ICT infrastructure design. Through his work at Ehvert Mission Critical, a Salas O'Brien company and across the broader industry, Faber continues to influence the advancement of resilient, safe, and high-performance ICT systems that support the evolving demands of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. Bob has authored several technical white papers and presented to audiences in more than twenty countries, in the past forty plus years.
