Brandon Dinsmore
Founder & Executive Director
Bio:
Cherokee Nation citizen and the founder of Native-owned and operated NDN Development Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building economic power in indigenous communities, Brandon is a workforce and economic development consultant who helps tribal nations, rural communities, and project partners turn broadband, energy, and infrastructure investment into strategic opportunity. This creates skilled community members, improved career pathways, and sustainable local capacity to deploy large-scale development projects that serve community interests.
Brandon’s work is guided by a simple belief: sovereignty is expressed when communities have the capability to build, operate, and keep the value of the systems that shape their future. He is driven by one goal: help communities express themselves intentionally by building power locally.
NDN Development Group is non-extractive and centered on this expression of sovereignty.
Before launching the nonprofit full-time, Brandon led customized workforce program design inside higher education, building industry-aligned training to connect people to good jobs, and launched a degree partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Inside the university system he created a tribal workforce and economic development division devoted to supporting and enhancing tribal priorities and empowering tribal members through training with educational and career pathways. Brandon is also a State Board Member for the American Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICCO).
In broadband, clean energy, and infrastructure, Brandon’s focus is building the partner ecosystem needed for success; aligning tribal leadership, employers, unions, training providers, funders, and public agencies around a clear vision, shared investment, and positive outcomes. Brandon also works alongside mission-aligned partners nationwide, supporting tribal nations and rural communities with workforce and economic development strategy, program design, and partnerships across broadband, infrastructure, and clean energy. Brandon speaks nationally about tribal workforce and economic development systems and prioritizing trust, intentional outcomes, and long-term self-determination. By reducing barriers with a holistic approach and a people-first mindset, Brandon is confident that the future of Indian Country will continue to demonstrate that authenticity and intention are key to building a better world for future generations.
