Carla Shearer

Bio:

Carla has served as the CEO/General Manager of SCTelcom since 2017, having joined the organization in 2015. Before her tenure at SCTelcom, she accumulated 25 years of experience at a multi-generational, family-owned telecommunications firm in central Kansas. With deep roots in the telecommunications industry, Carla has been engaged in a range of operations, including CLEC operations, cable TV, IPTV, cellular services, business network solutions, and broadband. Her extensive background encompasses ownership and management roles in privately held companies as well as leadership positions within a progressive telecommunications cooperative. Carla remains committed to advancing and supporting rural America by promoting connectivity and growth. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kansas State University in 2016, joining her two children and their spouses as alumni. Residing in rural Kansas by choice, Carla and her husband, John, also operate a multi-generational cow-calf and seedstock cattle enterprise in central Kansas.
