Bio:

Breakfast Media CEO Drew Clark has led the Broadband Breakfast community since 2008, when he went looking for broadband data the federal government would not publish. The Federal Communications Commission knew which companies served which communities, and at what speeds, but it kept that data to itself. So Clark built Broadband Census, a crowdsourcing tool that asked Americans to test their own connections and report what they actually got.

The conviction underneath that project — that the public is entitled to see the evidence behind the policy — has driven Breakfast.Media forward ever since.

He built the place where the argument happens. Broadband Breakfast began as the monthly conversation in Washington among legislators, policymakers, industry executives and academics. It is the leading media community advocating for higher-capacity internet everywhere through topical, timely and intelligent coverage. It's the "go to" source for news, events and online community on digital infrastructure, investment and impact.

The premise behind it has never changed: Better Broadband, Better Lives.

Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics (with honors) from Swarthmore College, master's degree from Columbia Journalism School in New York City, and a J.D. from Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. At the invitation of then-Governor Pat Quinn, he served as Executive Director of the Partnership for a Connected Illinois, running a statewide broadband initiative.

Broadband Breakfast has produced its Broadband Breakfast Live Online webcast every week since March 2020, alongside in-person summits on digital infrastructure investment, BEAD implementation, network resilience, and data centers and energy. Broadband Breakfast is hosting "Broadband and AI in the Next Congress" at the National Press Club in Washington on Dec. 1, 2026.
