Egest Balla

Bio:

Egest Balla is an Analyst for the Wire & Cable (W&C) team at CRU, based out of the company’s North America headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the editor of the team’s flagship Wire & Cable Monitor service and provides support across the full portfolio of products analyzing key trends and developments in both the metallic wire and cable and optical fibre & cable markets. Egest’s primary region of analysis is in the Americas - contributing to reports, market insights and engaging with participants across the region & value chain.

Egest is also the leading analyst on the W&C team’s insights on data centre market analysis, with focus on wire and cable connectivity & applications.

Egest joined CRU in 2024 after completing his graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He has prior experience within the non-profit sector, focusing on research and advocacy work focused on sustainability, clean energy, and labour workforce transitions from traditional to next-gen energy sectors. He also holds experience contributing to consulting projects with organizations including the US Government Accountability Office, the State Government of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community & Economic Development and other groups at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public & International Affairs.
