Bio:

Jeff Shafer is an Assistant Vice President at AT&T Business, leading product strategy, development, and lifecycle for the company’s cloud and data center networking portfolio, including AT&T NetBond® and Datacenter Solutions. His experience spans cloud interconnect, software-defined networking, network functions virtualization, SD-WAN, and edge computing, with a focus on simplifying how enterprises connect to and use cloud, network, and data center infrastructure.
 
Earlier in his career, Jeff helped pioneer the cloud networking capabilities that became AT&T NetBond®, enabling on-demand connectivity between enterprise networks and major cloud providers. He later founded AT&T’s Network on Demand initiative, where he led the development and launch of AT&T Switched Ethernet on Demand and AT&T FlexWare. He subsequently introduced low-latency edge connectivity with hyperscalers through AT&T Network Edge. His work has earned numerous industry and partner awards.
 
Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University. He began his career as a Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army.
